I know that we all want to give friends, or friends of a friend chances, but follow your gut. If you believe this person has a poor work ethic do not go into business with them. Also think about the character of the friend. If the friend is not successful in personal affairs, how can they successful in business?
Research the people that you choose to work with. Google the person and the business. Take your business seriously enough to investigate. Ask for references from the potential business partner. It is important to ensure that they can be trusted. You do not want be in a position where other companies refuse to work with your brand because of your associations with another!
Think wisely and plan ahead. This is your company!! This is your dream! Do not let poor choices in business partners ruin your chance for success!
